Deep Dive - Why Paid Ads Are Necessary for Success on Facebook
Organic reach on Facebook has been declining for years, with the average engagement rate of an organic post ranging from 1.52% to 2.58% as of July 2023. Facebook's newsfeed algorithm limits the visibility of non-promoted content to 5.2%, meaning only one in 19 people who like a page will see a particular post.
The lack of engagement with each post almost ensures that future posts will not appear in the feed of most followers.. The solution is to use Facebook Paid Ads to increase the reach and engagement of your posts. For most organizations, shifting the resources by creating less posts, but adding paid(boosted) ad spend will yield much better results.
According to Wordstream, the average conversion rate for Facebook ads across all industries is 9.21%. Depending on the specialty that is being promoted in your post, the value of an appointment or the lifetime value of a new patient will produce a very positive ROI.
Only posting organically to Facebook is not the highest and best use of resources. Adding Facebook paid ads into the marketing mix will improve patient acquisition and brand awareness.
